Perforated Drill Pipe Screen Filters Impurities in Drilling Fluid

Perforated Drill Pipe Screen ,also known as drill pipe spill, features a tapered structure and is mainly used for drilling fluid filtration in petroleum geological drilling, serving to filter drilling fluid and protect MWD equipment and other downhole tools. During use, the drill pipe screen is connected below the kelly to replace the traditional saver sub. During the circulation of drilling fluid, impurities in the drilling fluid are filtered by the screen inside the sub, keeping the drilling fluid clean and preventing impurities from clogging the water holes of the drill bit.

Advantages
  • Improve drilling efficiency. By filtering impurities, effectively removing solid particles from the mud, ensuring smooth operation of the drill bit, thereby increasing drilling speed.
  • Protect equipment. Reduce wear and prevent impurities from damaging the drill bit and other equipment, extending their service life.
  • Maintain drilling fluid quality. Preserve the viscosity and flowability of the drilling fluid, ensuring good cooling and lubrication effects.
  • Reduce maintenance costs. Lower failure rates and reduce equipment failure frequency, thereby reducing maintenance and replacement costs.
  • Easy to maintain. Simple operation, designed for easy cleaning and filter element replacement, making the maintenance process efficient.
